Lakeside Pharmacy is a local, independent pharmacy established in 1949 originally under the name Terminal Pharmacy. In 1981 the Pease Family purchased the business and renamed it Lakeside Pharmacy. Over the years, we've grown and moved several times before finally settling at our current location in 1992. In 2018 the Maxwell family then took the helm. As a family-run pharmacy, we offer fast prescription services in a professional, caring environment unlike typical chain pharmacies. On July 1, 2020 a fire at a neighboring business forced the closure of the pharmacy. Renovations were completed late Summer 2021. The new and improved Lakeside Pharmacy would open later that Fall.
Kyle Maxwell is a Doctor of Pharmacy who prides himself on his interpersonal skills and love
for community pharmacy. Hailing from Boston, MA where he earned his doctorate at the
Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, the second oldest institute for pharmacy education, Kyle
moved to Vermont to pursue his passions. Apart from the love of his profession, Kyle enjoys
the great outdoors; hiking, biking, camping, kayaking, and snowboarding. When Kyle is not
working, he will surely be outdoors doing something, usually along side his wife Michayla and
his dog, Deacon. Michayla and Kyle welcomed their son Harrison to the world October of 2021. Kyle is quite knowledgeable in all things pharmaceutical whether it be over-the-counter medicine, diet and exercise, or questions about insurance. Kyle is a certified immunizer, so whether you need an annual flu shot or are not sure which vaccines you need updated. Kyle will be there for you and family.

Ryan Quinn is a Doctor of Pharmacy that has proudly worked in retail pharmacy for Chittenden County for the past 10 years and counting. Ryan grew up in the small farm town of Plympton, MA and came to Vermont where he attended UVM. He decided to stay in Burlington when he fell in love with the state, its people and his wife Sophia who is originally from right down the road in Shelburne. Ryan earned his doctorate at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2021 and knew there was no better place than Lakeside to begin his career as a pharmacist. Outside of Lakeside, Ryan is an avid reader, movie-lover and musician who is just as likely to settle in for a night at the Roxy theatre as he is to be seen taking in the open air music of Church street. Ryan uses his years of expertise and pharmacy knowledge to ensure that no matter who comes through Lakeside’s doors, he will be able to happily help. So whether it’s questions on your medications, needing an immunization or general questions about how to live a healthier lifestyle; Ryan will be there for you and your family.
